Northam - Northam Police have launched a massive manhunt for four suspects who robbed a local restaurant on 25 July. 


According to police spokesperson colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, four unknown suspects armed with an AK47, R5 rifle and 9mm pistols fired several shots at the entrance of the restaurant while the business owner was about to close for the day. 


He was instructed to open the door and the suspects demanded car keys and money. The robbers fled the scene in a security vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money and the restaurant owner’s Toyota Hilux bakkie. The two vehicles were later found abandoned not far from the crime scene.


Anyone with information that can lead to the apprehension of these robbers, should contact the investigating officer captain Pieter du Plessis on 082 565 7611 or 014 784 4100 or the crime stop number 086 001 0111. 

Police are requesting this man to go to the Northam police station or to the nearest police station to assist them with the investigation.
