Putting the fun in fundraising
Northam – Casual Day, celebrated annually on the first Friday of September, is a fundraising and awareness campaign for persons with disabilities. This year earmarked the 25th Casual Day celebration themed ‘time to shine’.
From the sparkle in your eyes to the bright neon of your outfits... It encourages everyone to shine their light, take up their rights, stand out, be visible, live loud and be seen! On 6 September, various local companies showed their support for Casual Day.
Shalom Practitioners, doctor De Kock and Partners went all the way with their own theme, ‘a fun day filled with glitz and glam’ much to the delight of their patients. Doctor Chris van Zyl, adding to the laughter, wore a wig – and doctor Mart-Marié Marais even wore a tutu!
Nortam Toyota celebrated with a worsbroodjie braai for loyal customers. Buildit Northam wore black on casual day in protest of violence against woman and child abuse.
