The decline in newspaper circulation continued in the last quarter of the Audit Bureau of Circulation of South Africa's results for 2019, with Q4 showing a decline of 4.7% on the previous quarter and 9.1% on the prior year.

Five people die in head-on collision

Amandelbult – Five people tragically died in a head-on collision on the R510 road on the morning of Wednesday 14 October. According the Department of Transport and Community Safety, the driver of a Ford Sedan was trying to avoid a stray animal on the road and swerved into an oncoming Scania Truck.
