TAXI BURNS TO ASHES, CLAIMS ONE LIFE

Thabazimbi – A Toyota Quantum transporting three passengers on the R510 overturned and caught fire on Monday 1 July.

According to police spokesperson warrant officer Rapula Godfrey Montsioa, the driver and a passenger sitting in the front seat managed to escape with minor injuries.

Another passenger who was sitting in the back had to be pulled out of the burning vehicle and was rushed to hospital while the third passenger passed away at the scene.

A case of culpable homicide is being investigated.
