Mother and son die in housefire

Setaria – On Saturday 12 October, Northam Police received a distress call about a house on fire in Setaria. The police and emergency personnel responded swiftly. 

According to police spokesperson colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, a two-year old boy sadly passed away on scene and both his parents were rushed to hospital for treatment. The mother later succumbed to her injuries.

The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
