SA – With the festive season fast approaching, the police are urging business owners to avoid keeping large sums of money on their premises as well as to take additional precautionary measures.

 
Burglaries and business robberies are known to increase during the Christmas and New Year holiday season.   

Maintaining visibility all over their business premises, being discreet when counting cash and bank deposits, avoid giving out personal information to strangers and ensuring that valuables such as purses are safely locked away are among some of the tips which could help keep businesses safe.

Be vigilent when opening and closing and make sure that you are accompanied by one or more trusted employees. If possible, invest in a security alarm system with a mobile panic button.
