Infants’ bodies found floating in pool 

Makhado – Limpopo provincial commissioner lieutenant general Nneke Ledwaba urged parents and guardians to make sure that they know where their children are at all times in order to avoid drowning accidents. 

Three children, aged three to four years old, were found floating in a swimming pool at Tshituni Tsha Fhasi village near Makhado on Friday 31 January. 

Police spokesperson colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said the three toddlers were playing when they wandered off and gained entrance to the premises where the pool is located. 

“Meanwhile, the older brother of one of the children noticed that they were gone and decided to go look for them. He then made the horrific discovery of the three children unconsciously floating in the swimming pool and immediately alerted his mother,” said Ngoepe. 

The children were rushed to the local clinic but unfortunately, they were declared dead on arrival.
