Ward 2 committee to be elected

Thabazimbi – In compliance with section 72 and 73 of the Local Government Municipal Structures Act No. 117 of 1998, read with section 21 of the Local Government Municipal Systems Act No 32 of 2000, the Thabazimbi Local Municipality is going to conduct a community meeting to elect a ward committee for ward 2 (Thabazimbi and Rooiberg). All members of ward 2 are invited to actively participate in the election of the ward committee, whose term of office will be aligned with the current term of office of the newly elected ward councillor. The election will be in line with applicable legislation and provincial guidelines.

Residents of ward 2, who wish to take part in the voting process and/or want to form part of the ward committee, are requested to bring an identification document to the meeting.

Only residents residing in ward 2 will be able to participate in the process.
