Fighting the good fight 

Thabazimbi – The Thabazimbi Local Municipality (TLM) COVID-19 local command council (LCC) in cooperation with the Thabazimbi Traffic Department and Thabazimbi Health Department held a joint operation roadblock at the R510 entrance to Thabazimbi, on Monday 18 May.

The team’s focus is to ensure compliance regarding the level-4 regulations set in place by the government.

During the joint operation, various vehicles were checked to confirm that the drivers and passengers have the correct permits, wear masks and that the allowed number of passengers are adhered to.

This operation will continue throughout the lockdown period. Travellers who come from neighbouring provinces will be screened by the health department before they can enter Thabazimbi.

The LCC pledges to keep on working hard to keep Thabazimbi healthy and safe and ask that all community members and passengers adhere to the lockdown regulations.
