Detached trailer crash into car

Northam – The Northam Police are investigating a case of reckless driving after people were hurt in an accident which occurred on Wednesday 8 July at about 13:45 along the R510.

According to police spokesperson brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, it is alleged that a Toyota Fortuner with a trailer loaded with three cattle was driving along the R510 from Rustenburg when the trailer apparently detached and collided with a Chevrolet Spark coming from the opposite direction.

Three commuters from the Chevrolet Spark sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for medical attention. None of the cattle survived the accident.
