Municipality projects on course
Thabazimbi – The Thabazimbi Local Municipality (TLM) Political Management Team (PMT) has given the thumbs up to the various developmental projects being implemented by the local government body.
This vote of confidence came after TLM mayor councillor John Michael Fischer, speaker Thane Hearne, acting municipal manager Jacobus van der Merwe and other members of the PMT visited the Y-piece area for inspection of projects being carried out there.
They also assessed construction activities at the Thabazimbi wastewater treatment works and borehole facilities at the Regorogile sports ground. The inspections gave them a feel of the work being done at these project sites.
After the visits, TLM acting director for technical services Billy Tlhabadira gave an overview of the work being carried out at all the various projects. The inspection provided an ideal opportunity for the TLM leadership to exercise their oversight role by ensuring that the local government body’s resources are spent for their intended developmental purposes. This demonstrates the municipality’s unwavering commitment to deliver on the service delivery promises they have made to the Thabazimbi communities.
Further inspections at other project sites will be carried out by the PMT on an ongoing basis to ensure that all service delivery targets are met.
