Mayor welcomes SANDF at Thaba Park

Thabazimbi – Thabazimbi Local Municipality (TLM) mayor councillor John Michael Fischer handed over Thaba Park to the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) on Wednesday 23 September.

The SANDF has been given the mandate to secure the facility while it is being revamped.

“We are leaving this park in your capable hands because we know that you can take care of it,” the mayor said in his address.

The handover of the park to the SANDF coincided with the mayor’s birthday and he was only too happy to share his birthday cake with those who attended the handover.
