Fatality at Zondereinde mine

Northam/ Thabazimbi – A 43-year-old Northam Platinum Zondereinde mine employee sadly passed away on Saturday 6 March. “Mine management confirmed, with regret, the death of Mr Mohlaoli Simon Motaung, after an underground loco accident,” said Northam Platinum spokesperson Marion Brower. In terms of the Department of Minerals and Energy regulations, the incident is currently the subject of an investigation.
