SAVF CARE BAG CAMPAIGN

WE CHALLENGE YOU – SUPPORT A SOCIAL WORK OFFICE

SA – The SAVF challenges benefactors, service providers, and volunteers in our communities.
 
HOW? You can donate items to empower SAVF to assist a child, a family, or an elderly person in SAVF’s communities. Buy items of your choice and budget, put them in any bag or box and take the care bag to a SAVF shelter, social work office, elderly care facility, or ECD centre.
WHEN? Each month will focus on a different sector of SAVF’s business. 

• April – Volunteers donating to SAVF facilities
• May – A family in need
• June – Care bag for a needy teenager
• July – Mandela Day drive
• August – Empowering women
• September – Book drive
• October – Elderly care
• November – Gender-based violence victims
• December – The month of giving to all sectors of SAVF

WHY? The personal satisfaction gained from giving to others far outweighs any fleeting delight one might experience from making material purchases. The real gift belongs to the giver – the one who gives generously.

WHERE? SAVF has 179 facilities located in 23 welfare districts and 341 urban areas, towns, and communities in five South African provinces. The facility will take responsibility to drive the campaign to reach the needy persons it is intended for.
