Which insect is this? 

Thabazimbi – Last week we published a short article, asking readers if they have ever come across this little bug. A reader sent in the photo of the little creature which fell on her hand.

“In Afrikaans, it’s called a wolluis. Mealybugs are insects in the family Pseudococcidae, unarmoured scale insects found in moist, warm habitats. Many species are considered pests as they feed on juices of greenhouse plants, house plants and subtropical trees and also act as a vector for several plant diseases.”
