NORTHAM DUMPSITE RULES 

Northam – The Thabazimbi Local Municipality (TLM) is hereby giving notice about sections 14(1), 10(2), 8(1) and 19 (1) of the Thabazimbi Local Municipality Refuse Removal By-law No.2126 of 2012, regarding illegal and indiscriminate dumping in and outside the boundaries of the Northam Landfill Site along the Northam-Brits road.

This act of negligent and unacceptable conduct cannot be tolerated. It is not in the best interest of the well-being of the community and the environment and is at all levels prohibited and condemned by the municipality. Businesses are reminded of their responsibility to ensure that their waste is disposed properly, and in a manner that does not cause nuisance or potential harm to the community and the environment.

You are hence-forth directed to dispose waste on the lower level of the landfill. Any company or person(s) in contravention of the by-law will be charged.
