Spike incidents spiking!  

N1/N4 – The Community Policing Forum (CPF) is warning motorists to be aware of the hotspot areas where criminals have been using spikes and other objects to create road hazards before robbing or killing their victims.

Several incidents have been reported between 19:00 and 03:00 in areas along the N4 and the N1. HOTSPOTS: Donkerhoek Plaza (19:00 – 04:00), Solomom Mahlangu interchange (23:00 – 04:00) as well as the Proefplaas interchange (19:00 – 04:00) – all situated along the N4. Incidents have also been reported along the N4 in Brits, M17 at Garankua Bridge, the R101 old Warmbaths road, and the R80 road in Hercules and Shoshanguve.

Motorists must be aware of criminals who put stones on the road or throw it at vehicles from bridges. Cars breaking down in these areas are also at risk.
