Fighting for dignity

Thabazimbi – The South African Children and Youth Development Organisation led a protest at Maroelasfontein Mine outside Thabazimbi on Wednesday 19 May.

Concerned about the dignity of black mine workers, they voiced their concerns and handed over a memorandum to which the mine has seven working days to respond to. The mine acknowledged their complaints and undertook to read through the documents and respond in writing.
