Girl raped by mom’s boyfriend 

Thabazimbi – Amos Malete (22) was sentenced to life imprisonment before the Thabazimbi Magistrates’ Court on 2 June on charges of raping a minor. 

Thabazimbi family violence, child protection, and sexual offences (FCS) commander warrant officer Temane welcomed the conviction.According to brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, the mother of the 10-year-old girl left her in the care of her boyfriend. “When the mother returned home, her daughter told her she was raped by her mother’s boyfriend. She immediately opened a case at the police station.” 
Investigations led to the arrest and subsequent sentencing of the accused.
