Baby girl delivered by cops

Roedtan (Limpopo) – Two police officers based in Roedtan went beyond the call of duty on Sunday 30 May when they assisted a heavily pregnant woman to deliver a healthy baby girl – in the police station.  
When the mom-to-be walked into the station, constable Solomon Mnisi immediately assisted.

“With the young mother complaining about labour pains, constable Mnisi jumped into action contacting sergent Nkang Mogoru who rushed back to the station from patrol duty,” police spokesperson colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said.

“The duo rolled up their sleeves to assist the mother whose baby was born in the boardroom of the station. They also summoned an ambulance which transported the mother and baby to hospital.”

Mogoru’s emergency first aid kit came in handy during the delivery of the baby.
