As if finding a job is not tough enough... Feeding on the desperation of others

Thabazimbi – “I’m desperate for work! This woman scammed me! I have three children and I need money to take care of my grandmother, who looks after my kids during the day. This woman scammed me and I lost a lot of money!” a victim told the Platinum Bushvelder. 
Her plea did not go unnoticed. 
The Thabazimbi police clamped down on an alleged fraudster, selling ‘available jobs’ at Mediclinic Thabazimbi. 
Yvonne Mavis Mogabe reportedly recruited other local foreigners to work at the clinic. 
A suspicious community member decided to go to Mediclinic directly and find out if they were indeed hiring. 
They confirmed that they did not and that they don’t know Mogabe. The matter was reported to the cops who acted swiftly.  
They successfully traced and arrested Mogabe. She appeared before the Thabazimbi Magistrates’ Court on 16 August on charges of fraud and that of being in the country illegally. 
She was kept in custody for a formal bail hearing on Monday 23 August. Bail was denied.
