Thrilling netball and soccer action

Thabazimbi – Ipeleng Sports Grounds in Thabazimbi hosted an exciting netball and soccer tournament on Saturday 14 August. The Prina Super Cup – which featured a netball and a soccer tournament – was a resounding success and demonstrated the ability of sport to unite communities.   
The Eagles from Hartbeespoort Dam emerged victorious in the soccer tournament and walked away with the R10,000 prize money and gold medals. The top goal scorer accolade went to Hendrick Kabelo Kanapi, who proved to be the most clinical in front of the goals. In the netball, Township Rollers scooped the R4,000 prize money after emerging victorious in a competition that also featured Cover Eleven, Dominkosi and Thabazimbi Youth Development teams. Vanisile Zulu, who was among the outstanding players, finished as top scorer.
