Local model embraces charity work

Thabazimbi – Tebogo Nkoana, a semi-finalist in the Mrs Universe Africa 2021 pageant, said the competition has created an ideal platform for her to assist needy people from Thabazimbi. 

Nkoana, who is a veterinary student at Medivet Dierekliniek in Thabazimbi, said taking part in the prestigious competition has developed and strengthened her character.

She said the pageant has also opened doors of opportunity for her to make a positive impact in the lives of disadvantaged children and elderly people living in Thabazimbi. 

“My journey so far has been amazing, being part of such an incredible platform has taught me a lot about myself,” Tebogo told Platinum Bushvelder. “Mrs Universe Africa is more than just a pageant.

It is a woman empowerment platform, which encourages women to believe in themselves so that they are able to achieve anything they aim to  achieve.”

Said Nkoana: “I am currently running a clean your closet charity drive for Thabang Children and Youth Care Centre, which is based here in Thabazimbi, I collect used clothes for kids and adults.”
