Busted

Thabazimbi - Matlabas Plaaswag received information about a vehicle that was possibly involved in theft from vehicles that was on its way to Thabazimbi on Friday 10 September.

Members of the Matlabas Plaaswag Protospan and Matlabas Plaaswag in collaboration with Thabazimbi Police were deployed.

After four hours, one of the suspects was seen opening a bakkie and removing items from it, an elderly man, who is also a member of Matlabas Plaaswag was robbed of his cellphone.

Police arrested the three suspects in the vehicle as they tried to leave town. Stolen cellphones, cash and other items were found in the vehicle and on the suspects.

The vehicle and a device used to block remote control signals were also seized.
Police spokesperson Titus Khumalo confirmed that the matter is under investigation.
