Stabbing at filling station 

Northam – A person was stabbed on Friday 22 October at an open garden near Northam filling station. A group of people gathered under the trees and were drinking when a fight broke out and a person got stabbed.   

Manager of Northam Filling Station Antionette Lotter told Platinum Bushvelder that she witnessed the incident. She expressed her concern about people regularly gathering at this spot and drinking.   

Sergeant Fortune Madisa from Northam Police Station said that no complaint or case was registered at the station relating to the incident.   

Public drinking at undesignated areas is a criminal offence and those found on the wrong side of the law risk a heavy fine or jail time.
