A call to action against gender-based violence

Thabazimbi – The man accused of raping an 8-month pregnant and a 58-year-old woman will once again make an appearance before the Thabazimbi Magistrates’ Court on Friday 19 November.

The suspect was apprehended on 9 October when he allegedly attacked and raped the two women who were returning home from a stokvel they attended at Matikiring informal settlement. 

The Thabazimbi Community Policing Forum would like to urge the community to show their support against gender-based violence by attending the court appearance. 

The support of the community it will assist in ensuring that the perpetrator lands behind bars.
