Burning for days!

Thabazimbi – A  devastating fire which started out in Makoppa burned for three days from early on Friday 12 November till late on 14 November, before it was finally brought under control.

Thabazimbi Fire and Rescue with the assistance of surrounding mines and farmers, bravely fought the fire.
The fire spread all the way to Maroelasfontein. An estimated 10,000ha were destroyed.
