Much Ado About Nothing?       

Northam – On Tuesday 16 November, social media was abuzz with news of a woman who was allegedly robbed by criminals posing as police officers. 

As the news filtered through, Platinum Bushvelder rushed to the crime scene at Pep Store next to Roots in the Northam Central Business District (CBD) to investigate.

The woman was nowhere to be found and efforts to locate her or verify her robbery claims were futile. 

Said police spokesperson sergeant Malhatse Modisa: “No robbery has been reported, nor that of any fake cops in town”. 

Community members are requested to use the SAPS Crime Stop number 0860 010 111 to report any crime.
