Leanè shines at IFFA Finals
Thabazimbi – Laerskool Thabazimbi Grade 2 learner Leanè Oosthuizen excelled at the International Fine Arts Association’s (IFFA) South African finals that took place in Pretoria on Saturday 17 September.
She received a score of 92% for ballet, and for her Harley Quinn solo in hip hop, she obtained a diamond-score of 95%. Leanè was also named the overall winner in her 7-10 years’ age category.
This outstanding achievement also comes with the opportunity to represent South Africa as part of the Diamond team on the MSC Cruise for IFFA International Championship in 2023.
Leanè has been dancing for four years at DAMASA in Thabazimbi in the following categories: hip hop, acro, contemporary, jazz and ballet. She has big dreams for the future and plans to become not only a dance instructor, but also a hairstylist.
For now, however, she will be focusing on her dance moves.
In an interview with Platinum Bushvelder, Leané’s mother, Albie Oosthuizen, said that she and her husband are extremely proud of Leanè and that they are excited to see what the future holds for her.
