PSL break good or bad?

SA – The South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) will only resume on 31 December 2022 when the curtain has come down on the FIFA World Cup.
All the local players and their coaches, as well as the rest of the football world will be keenly following the action in Qatar – game by game.
PSL coaches, like Mamelodi Sundowns’ Rulani Mokwena will probably welcome the brief break as it will give some of the injured players – like star striker Peter Shalulile – a chance to recover to full fitness.
The Sundowns marksman, who has not been part of any of the team’s matches, has returned to moderate training after undergoing an operation. Many other clubs will also be hoping their injured players bounce back to full fitness ahead of the resumption of the league title chase at the end of December.
For a lot of teams, however, the PSL break is an unwelcome distraction that could make it difficult for them to find their momentum when the games resume.
