A split in the road

Thabazimbi – Over the past few weeks, several Thabazimbi community members have voiced their concerns about the Crocodile Bridge on social media.

It looks like the concrete slabs on the bridge are not aligned and that they are moving apart. 
Platinum Bushvelder got in touch with Thabazimbi’s local municipality mayor, Tokkie Swanepoel on Tuesday 22 November 2022 about these concerns.

“The engineers of SANRAL are currently attending to the situation. SANRAL and Raubex Construction have not raised any concerns at present, and should there be any concerns, SANRAL and Raubex Construction will report it immediately,” said the mayor. 

We reached out to Raubex Construction for a comment but at the time of going to print, we had not yet received any feedback.
