What are your plans for the holiday?

Thabazimbi – While some people take their annual leave, others are set to continue working during the festive season with short intervals of rest.

Platinum Bushvelder reached out to community members to find out what their plans are for the holidays—be it at home or away. 

This was a very busy year, so I plan to spend some quality time with my children and grandchildren. It doesn’t matter if we are cleaning or going somewhere, it will be great as long as we are together.

This holiday is also the perfect time to do all the things we didn’t get to do during the year. We have a newly built flat on our property that needs painting, and then there is also some much-needed gardening. 

 

There were so many things we didn’t get time for during the year and for me, the holidays are the perfect time to get those things done. We will be painting our ceilings, and we have decided to paint our house grey.

Our garden also needs a bit of colour so we will be planting flowers. We also want to start a vegetable garden with lettuce, tomatoes, and potatoes. The holiday will also give me time to clean my house from corner to corner. 

 

For me, it will be about connecting and bonding with people that are close to my heart because one of my biggest values is family.

My holiday already started at the beginning of December, so I’ve been on the road, and I’ve been spending my days with friends, family, and colleagues.  

 

I am lucky to not be working during the festive season, so I have a lot of time to spend with my family. We plan on planting spinach together. My family also loves to bond over soccer, so we plan to play a lot of soccer together.

We also love to cook together, so making Christmas dinner will be extra fun. The menu will include lamb, chicken, and a variety of vegetables. Hopefully, we will also get a bit of rest to make sure we are ready for the new year.
