Molefe Ntseki appointed head coach of Kaizer Chiefs

South Africa - Kaizer Chiefs supporters have responded with mixed reactions at the appointment of the new head coach, Molefi Ntseki who was appointed with immediate effect from Wednesday 28 June 2023.

According to a press release by Kaizer Chiefs, the restructuring of the technical team will see coach Ntseki take over the coaching reigns of the senior team from Arthur Zwane, who will return to the role of assistant coach, together with Dillion Sheppard. 

“We would like to congratulate coach Molefe Ntseki and thank him for accepting his huge responsibility. We know it’s not an easy task, but we believe his experience and knowledge will help us improve and achieve our goals as Kaizer Chiefs.

He has been here for two years, working well with coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillion Sheppard in his role as head of technical, and will now work with them in a different capacity,” said executive chairman of Kaizer Chiefs, Dr Kaizer Motaung.

Prior to his appointment, Ntseki served as the club’s head of Technical and Youth Development at Kaizer Chiefs. He has a wealth of experience of coaching at the highest level, including coaching the South African national team, Bafana Bafana as well as serving as assistant coach for the national team and coaching various junior national teams.

Motaung said that they are looking forward to coach Ntseki sharing his experience and ensuring that there is stability in the team, while Kaizer Chiefs improves their performance.

“We will provide him with all the necessary support he needs in his new role,” Motaung concluded.
