Troublesome Taverns  [Letter to the Editor] 

I’d like to highlight an ongoing issue in Thabazimbi: the constant noise from local taverns that stay open until the early hours. While we value these businesses for supporting our local economy, it’s essential they respect both trading hours and the peace of our neighbourhood.

Living in a tight-knit town like ours means looking out for each other. Sadly, some tavern owners are forgetting this by playing loud music and continuing their business into the night, disturbing those living nearby.

Those who live close to these pubs suffer most, as the noise affects their sleep. It’s particularly tough for people who have to get up early for work. We all need to come together to sort this out.
Tavern owners need to stick to set trading hours and keep the noise down. By doing this, they’ll show they care about the peace and well-being of everyone in Thabazimbi. Respecting these guidelines will mean fewer complaints and a happier community.

I’d encourage tavern owners to keep to their operating hours and control the noise. This simple step will help keep our town peaceful, which is what we all want.
