Fire at Rhino Andalusite Mine Tamed by Thabazimbi Fire and Rescue

Thabazimbi - A fire broke out at Rhino Andalusite Mine on Wednesday 25 October 2023 at around 16:00. The blaze was triggered by a spark from an overhead Eskom power line. Thabazimbi Fire and Rescue (TFR) swiftly responded to the scene, successfully extinguishing the fire by approximately 21:00.
