Rhinos charge ahead:  A triumphant Saturday in Stilfontein!

Setaria – The Northam Platinum Rhinos charged through the defences of the Stilfontein Hurricanes like a hot knife through butter on Saturday 10 February 2024. 

The spectacle kicked off with the third team of the Rhinos, who set the tone for the day with a resounding victory of 36-7. Not to be outdone, the second team took to the pitch with fire in their eyes and a storm in their hearts, decimating the Hurricanes with an astonishing 69-0 win. 

As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, the first team emerged. Percy Williams, who was later crowned ‘Man of the Match,’ danced through the defence, orchestrating plays that seemed to be from another dimension! The Rhinos first team sealed the day with an epic 75-24 victory, leaving fans and foes alike in wonderment at their skill and determination.

But the Rhinos are not resting on their laurels. The air in Setaria is thick with anticipation as all three teams are set to lock horns with the formidable Northam Wolverines on Saturday, 17 February 2024, at the Bushveld Park, Setaria. The kickoff is scheduled for 12:45, promising an afternoon brimming with top-tier rugby action! 

The chairperson of the Northam Platinum Rhinos Rugby Club extended a warm invitation to all, stating, “This is more than a game; it’s a gathering of community, spirit, and passion. We would love for everyone to come and support us as we continue our journey. Let’s fill Bushveld Park with our cheers and show our teams that we stand with them, rain or shine.”
