MANHUNT LAUNCHED FOR LIVESTOCK THIEVES IN THABAZIMBI

Thabazimbi – A manhunt is underway for suspects involved in a livestock theft incident that left a local farmer counting his losses. The Modimolle Stock Theft Unit has launched an investigation after six sheep, valued at R12,000, were stolen from a farm in the Thabazimbi policing precinct.

According to police spokesperson colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the theft occurred between the afternoon of Thursday, 30 January 2025, and the morning of Friday, 31 January 2025. The farmer, who had counted his flock at 17:00 the previous evening, confirmed that all 38 sheep were accounted for. However, upon checking the kraal the next morning at 07:00, he discovered vehicle tracks leading to the enclosure and realised that six of his sheep were missing.

The police were immediately alerted, and a case has been opened. Authorities are now urging the public to come forward with any information that could help bring the perpetrators to justice.
