Prison Break in Northam: HOW? 

Northam – The Northam Police have launched an urgent manhunt following the escape of four awaiting trial prisoners from their cells in the early hours of Monday 10 February 2025.

Colonel Malesela Ledwaba confirmed that the suspects, all foreign nationals, were arrested in July 2024 for tampering with essential infrastructure, a violation of the Criminal Matters Amendment Act. The escape took place around 04:30, with police officers on duty reportedly hearing a loud bang coming from the direction of the cells. Upon investigation, they discovered that multiple doors had been forced open.

The escapees are identified as:
Knowledge Dhambuza (36)
Limited Dhambuza (25)
Eric Zion Nechikhovele (39)
Joao Chauke (27)

A specialised team of detectives has been deployed to track down the fugitives and investigate the circumstances surrounding the jailbreak. Authorities are urging the public to exercise caution and not attempt to confront or apprehend these individuals, as they may pose a threat.
