Ditiro Tebogo: Building Dreams, One Brick and One Shoe at a Time

Thabazimbi/ Northam – Ditiro Tebogo (Pty) Ltd is a company with heart, vision, and a growing reputation in both the mining and construction industries. Founded in 2013 by Malebo Sikwane, this 100% black female-owned company is making waves in a traditionally male-dominated field.

Malebo, a former learner at Ysterberg Primary School, draws inspiration from her mother, Tebogo Sikwane, who was a dedicated teacher at the same school. Today, Malebo is not only carving a name for herself in business but also giving back to the community that helped shape her.

A legacy of giving
Ditiro Tebogo has successfully completed several significant projects, including:

• The construction of Module Primary School
• Building dwelling units in Northam
• Developing a multipurpose hub in Northam
• Leading a youth cleaning campaign in Thabazimbi

But beyond bricks and mortar, the company is committed to uplifting young learners. In February 2025, as part of their latest school project, Ditiro Tebogo donated 39 pairs of shoes to underprivileged children and covered 320 books for learners at three different schools.

• Krause Primary (4 February 2025): 10 pairs of shoes donated, 182 books covered
• Ysterberg Primary (5 February 2025): 19 pairs of shoes donated, 72 books covered
• Deo Gloria School (6 February 2025): 10 pairs of shoes donated, 66 books covered

For many children, a simple pair of school shoes is more than just footwear — it’s dignity, confidence, and a step towards a brighter future.

More than business — a commitment to community
At the heart of this initiative is a belief that education is the foundation for progress. “We don’t just build structures; we build opportunities,” says Malebo. “Giving back to our communities is not just a responsibility — it’s an honour.”
