Mayor's Easter Message

Thabazimbi – As the Easter season wrapped Thabazimbi and surrounds in its gentle embrace, mayor TJ Pilane reached out with a heartfelt message to every resident and stakeholder, urging the community to pause, reflect, and renew.

“Easter is a time of renewal, hope, and reflection,” Mayor Pilane shared in his message, “a beautiful opportunity to embrace compassion, love, and unity.”

As autumn’s colours begin to dance across our landscape, the mayor reminded residents that just as seasons change, so too can communities grow stronger through empathy and collective action. He applauded the resilience of the Thabazimbi Local Municipality, especially in light of current challenges, and encouraged residents to support one another — and their local businesses — over the Easter weekend and beyond.

The mayor also made a gentle call for kindness: to remember those who may be facing hardship and to offer a helping hand. 

“Even the smallest act of kindness can bring about meaningful change,” he said.

Whether residents chose to travel or stay home, Mayor Pilane wished them peace, joy, and safety: “May the spirit of Easter fill your hearts with renewed hope for the future. May God bless you all.”
