Thabazimbi Child Assault Trial Postponed – Again

Thabazimbi – The highly sensitive child assault case involving Ria Oberholzer, Petrus Oelofse, and Jesica Hull has once again been postponed. The trial, currently underway, is now set to continue on 29 April 2025.

This marks yet another delay in a case that has gripped the Thabazimbi community for over a year and a half. The accused face serious charges: Oelofse stands trial for sexual assault and child neglect, while Oberholzer and Hull are charged with child neglect and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The previous court date of 15 April 2025 was itself a rescheduling from February, when the matter was postponed to allow young victims space to prepare for their final school examinations without the added trauma of court testimony.
