Tragic Collision in Koedoeskop Claims One Life

Koedoeskop – A quiet Sunday evening turned tragic when a collision between two Volkswagen vehicles occurred on 4 May 2025 at approximately 18h20 in Koedoeskop. 

According to Angelique Loots, director of Thaba Fire and Rescue, both vehicles — a VW and a Volkswagen City Golf — were struck on their left sides. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Thaba Fire and Rescue, Wildmed Emergency Services, Eagle Trauma Rescue, SAPS, PK Towing, and the Thabazimbi Local Municipality all responded swiftly to the scene.

One vehicle had two occupants who sustained injuries but were reported to be in a stable condition. Tragically, the other vehicle’s sole occupant succumbed to their injuries on scene. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of the deceased,” said Loots.
