Blood spilled, but no arrest

Northam – Members of the Heritage Protection Group (HPG) tracked down an alleged poacher along with two of his hunting dogs on Sunday 18 November.

In an interview with Platinum Bushvelder, Johan Young of Heritage Protection Group confirmed that the alleged poacher travelled through farm lands and was eventually tracked down by the HPG team.

The suspect carried a knife and cable and was covered in animal blood. “He was not arrested by the Police, as he was not in the possession of any animals or animal parts,” said Johan.
