TAU SA WARNS AGAINST ATTACKS ON FARM WORKERS

It has become clear that farm workers are increasingly targeted in attacks on farms.

This is probably because criminals believe that farm workers have already received their annual bonusses and that there is more cash in the possession of farm workers.

“Farmers are requested to warn workers not to withdraw all funds from their bank accounts at once, as seem to be the case,” warned Henry Geldenhuys, deputy president of TAU SA and chairman of the security and safety committee.

“It is important that the benefit after a years’ hard work is not put at risk by having too much cash which could attract the attention of bad company with criminal intentions.”
