Thabazimbi – Clicks stores nationwide has closed its doors from Monday 7 September after a threat by the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party – in response to ‘controversial images’ that was published on the Clicks website. In other areas of the country stores were vandalised and even thrown with petrol bombs
Dwaalboom – Bosveld Misdaad Ondersoeke investigated a matter where workers were attacked on a farm near Dwaalboom on Thursday 27 August.
Northam – Prepaid water meters have been installed by the Thabazimbi Local Municipality (TLM) in Mojuteng and Lefika as the local governing body forges ahead with its service delivery projects. Residents living in these areas are now able to buy their water and manage their consumption. A similar project will be rolled out in Northam once discussions between the municipality and Northam Platinum Mine are completed.
Thabazimbi – Thousands of bikers gathered at the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Saturday 29 August to protest against farm murders. Local bikers led by Frik Erasmus also attended the peaceful protests.
