Help track down two rhino poachers…

SA - A manhunt has been launched for two suspects who shot and killed two rhinos on a game farm near Swelane Village outside Phalaborwa.

One of the rhinos was killed on Monday 24 August. The other was killed the following day at a different spot on the same farm. Farmworkers found the carcass of the first rhino while patrolling the farm. Evidence gathered from that scene suggested the poachers failed to remove the horns of the rhino – it appears as if they were disturbed and ran away.

“On 25 August police were summoned to another crime scene in the same area. Upon their arrival, they discovered the carcass of the second rhino. Its horns had been removed,” police spokesperson colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said. Both suspects are on the run and no arrests have been made yet.
