Child Assault Case Faces Yet Another Delay

Thabazimbi – The child assault case involving Ria Oberholzer, Petrus Oelofse, and Jesica Hull has once again been postponed, this time to 27 and 28 October 2025 in the Thabazimbi Magistrates’ Court. Originally set to resume on 22 September 2025, the trial has now been pushed back more than a month.

The accused — who remain out on bail — face serious charges. Oelofse is charged with sexual assault and child neglect, while Oberholzer and Hull face charges of child neglect and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. This trial has dragged on since March 2024, when charges were first laid. Along the way, the matter has seen multiple postponements.
