Setaria – The Northam Platinum Rhinos Rugby Club once again proved their grit when they went head-to-head with the Northam Wolves Rugby Club (Hartbeespoort) in the much-anticipated annual CEO Cup on Saturday, 6 September 2025.

In what has become a spirited community tradition, the friendly clash had supporters on their feet until the very last whistle. The Rhinos edged out the Wolves in a nail-biting finish, securing a narrow 40–39 victory. This marks the third consecutive year that the Rhinos have lifted the CEO Cup trophy.

Assistant coach Flip de Kock praised both the competitive spirit on the field and the electric atmosphere off it, calling the day “a true celebration of rugby and community.”

With the CEO Cup successfully defended, the Rhinos now turn their attention to the Gold Cup National Club Championships, kicking off on 27 September 2025. Preparations are already in full swing as the team looks to carry their winning momentum onto the national stage.
