According to the latest national crime stats, South Africa records over 70 murders a day. Many citizens live with constant vigilance. Do you believe change is possible — where walking freely and safely down the street could one day become a reality?

“No. With over 70 murders a day in South Africa, it’s hard to imagine a time when walking freely and safely will be possible. Many of us already live in constant vigilance, and the stats make hope for real change feel out of reach.”

Tanyia Botha, Thabazimbi
