Another Life Lost on the R510

R510/ Thabazimbi / Northam – Tragedy struck once again on the infamous R510 when a fatal accident claimed yet another life late Friday night, 31 October 2025. At approximately 23:00, a Toyota Hilux Legend veered off the road at the Sentrum T-junction, resulting in a devastating single-vehicle crash.

Emergency responders — including P&K Towing and Recovery, Thabazimbi SAPS, Thabazimbi State Ambulance, and Bela-Bela Pathology — rushed to the scene. Sadly, the driver was declared deceased on-site. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

“Each life lost on the R510 is one too many,” said Abraham Lebogo of P&K Towing and Recovery. “We urge all road users to stay alert, drive defensively, and respect this dangerous stretch of road — especially at night.”

Then, in the early hours of Sunday, 2 November 2025, another accident occurred on the same route, this time involving two vehicles traveling toward Northam. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Responding to the scene were P&K Towing and Recovery, Northam SAPS, and Waterberg District Ambulance Services. The cause of the collision is still unknown.
